Deal I Couldn't Pass Up: Fiesta ST $17k

So I’ve gone through a bit of a deluge of car choices from the failed ELR experiment to the an aborted mini jcw play to going back to old Audis. All of them lacked something and I think I’ve finally arrived on a car that lacks nothing: the FiST. And my god they’re giving these away right now, 0% APR too (though I took the cash price and went a grand lower).

Small for a city but a hatch with 4 doors = good. 6 speed = perfect. 30mpg = smart. wahh pissh = wahh pissh. standard and optional equipment levels? higher than the mini at half the cost.

I think I finally found the next long term.

Until a Focus RS winds up in my lap haha. (speaking of, I signed the papers for the ST and I ran into a random FoRS on the street. How serendipitous lol)

Clear wrap it if you can! I wish I had have, because the paint quality is terrible. Other than that, I love mine, enjoy yours!

I had chips within days, and microfiber scratches it. Also, the roof metal is incredibly thin, as acorns dent it. Yes, acorns. Other than that, I love it.

Yep Fox Ford! They were very motivated, I wanted to just test drive today and buy in a few weeks but I got a pretty good initial offer from them so I held out for my (under 17) offer and settled at 17 flat.

Yeah it’s actually not bad, I asked for them to remove it because I draw the line at license plate covers, but if they forget to take it off I don’t think I’ll press them too much about it.

I got to drive one of my subscribers FiST’s and it was awesome. I just wish I had some twisties to truly test it, but even in a straight line it was awesome. Also, it was burnt orange... what a great color!

I also got to drive a FoST (not stock) in a later review, and comparing the two I do think the FiST is the more driver orientated car. FoST has more room however, and being a family guy I would lean towards it. (ok ok... also MOAR POWER!)

Oh god that’s horrible. The worst I’ve ever seen was a lowercase db with a Chrysler Pentastar on top. So it looked pretty darn phallic at a distance.

Both the Focus and Fiesta are good deals. If I wasn’t in my Audi one of those would be my choice. I was a Mk1 Fiesta S owner back in the day.

Wish Ford would put as much time and effort into extra things for the Fiesta and Focus as they do the Mustang. My wife drives a Ford Edge that I’ve swapped to urethane sway bushings and a stiffer stock size 18" tire. I was all amped when Steeda had parts for it and then by the time I could afford to buy stuff they had cleared all the Edge stuff from the site. I wanted an upper strut bar for it but now only see one on eBay from outside the states.

I don’t know how much I want to mess with it though because it is gonna be a daily, but I dunno if I’m gonna be able to resist an exhaust.

Yeah! Thankfully steeda/mountune/Cobb etc have a ton of ST parts that carry factory warranties but i’d love actual Ford Racing bits

Just an FYI, deleting the resonator makes a noticeable difference and costs like $40. If you don’t like it, go on to a full exhaust, but for $40 it’s worth the risk. I love my delete.

Just go to the exhaust shop of your choice. They cut out the resonator and weld in a pipe.

Yeah i thought about that afterwards haha, the last time I did a resonator delete was on a J32 honda engine and it was just a giant box you unplug and plug up!

They got one left. I went to go purchase this one actually, but I liked the stealthier black one more once i saw them side by side, if you’re serious ask for omar and tell him vee sent you (you’ll get a discount and I’ll get some maintenance for free)
